Phone Number Verification

Confirms a South African phone number is live and returns what is known about it — carrier, line type, region, and a set of risk signals including whether the number is blacklisted or blocked.

POST /api/v1/id-verifications/identity/za/phone

Authenticate with your API key (x-api-key) or a bearer token.

Requires the KYC_ZA_VERIFY and KYC_RESULT_VIEW permissions.

Request body

Name	Type	Description
phoneNumber*	String	The number, without the dialling code.
phoneCountryCode*	String	The dialling code, e.g. +27.
isSubjectConsent*	Boolean	Confirms the subject consented to the check. Must be true. Rejected before the provider is called, so a false costs you nothing.

Fields marked * are required.
